Bath Time Activity
« on: November 12, 2007, 22:42:49 pm »
So I'm trying to incorporate bath time into his activity routine so my 10 week lo knows its time for bed.  But ... my question is ... is it okay to give him a bath every day??  Will he get sick or something.  (Hint...I'm a first time mom).

You can give him a bath everyday, but you really don't have to.  Some bubs find it relaxing so it can be a great way to wind them down (mine would wind down, but then get over stimulated by changing her!).

I also found that in the winter, her skin got dry, so i stopped bathing everday on my dr's advice.

hth!

They don't NEED a bath every day at that age. If you or your hubby have asthma, eczema or hayfever I wouldn't do it.

However, if you don't, a daily bath can help the routine and a better sleep. I would put very natural oils in it (I'm sure some of the ladies here have great suggestions for where you live), not baby bubble bath, as that can dry the skin out. So does just warm water...
