Pumping should help and send those messages. Drinking is REALLY important as Marian says but it is natural for letdown to slow/supply to dip as the day goes on. That's the time when breast compressions can really help.

I'm going to try and pump every two hours in the evening and hopefully send messages to make more....  She wouldn't stay latched on long enough for me to even do breast compressions.... I think it was too slow for her...so somehow, I have to increase my supply in order for her to get on the breast.....

You could also try pumping a little and putting it into a syringe. Then dowse your nipple in lovely smelling milk and as soon as she gets near 'reward' her with a few more trickles from the syringe. See if you can entice her to get on more.
