« on: December 02, 2007, 20:51:33 pm »
We're kinda of transitioning between 2 naps depending on when we're in the car ::) but what is the usual A time? Fin can do anything from 4 - 6 hours....is that too long at this age?

thanks
Debbie

I believe there is a wide range of normal.  Check out the two for one nap switch on the nap boards.  that should help!

I also think there is a wide range.  Both of my boys were down to only one nap a day by 14 months.  Our day for my first was wake at 7:30-8, nap at 1-3, bed at 7:30.  Our second LO (now 18 months but on the same routine since 14 months) wake 7-7:30, nap 12 - 2-2:30, bed at 7.  I guess the A time for my kids were both around 5 hours in am and 3.5-4 hours pm.  My second child seems to need just a little more sleep.

I hope this helps.

About 5-5.5hrs is the av. My 32mo could only be stretched to 6hrs around age 2 & has always been more sensitive to A times before bed.... so any more than 5.5hrs and we would have nightwakings.

Ladies, thanks for your replies and guess what?.....we have been having nightwakings and maybe it is the 6 hours A time that's playing havoc plus the separation anxiety we are currently going thru ::)

Thank you all again
