Posting links

Ok, as you are aware, I am the least technical person here so bear with me ok!

This is what I do.

I go to the page that I want to post and highlight the address bar and cntrl-c then I type my message and cntrl-v and the link appears.  Then I post my message and the link dissapears.

What am I doing wrong, it used to work ok?  Not always, I sometimes said that I was posting a link then forgot to add it, but that's just me, now this isn't me it's something else, I don't knwo what, but I put ctrl and v, I know I did!

if the link starts with http:// www (without the space), then you can just delete the http:// part and then the link should show up.

if there is no http://, then you will have to hyperlink.

to hyperlink:
copy the link as you did before
in the row of buttons above the color bar, click on the button that is 3rd from the left. 
when the little window pops up, paste (control-v) your link there & click OK.
then type in some words to show us where the link is (i.e. here's the article) & click okay.

and it will be there!!

if all else fails, just note in your message that you cannot get the link to show up - the mods of the board or any of the GMs can fix your post.

Thank you Jaime.  I just explained what I was trying to post in the end, but I will know for future.
