Insurance Reimbursement and Ebay Formula Purchases

Another post prompted me to check out Neocate on Ebay. Wow, talk about a savings.

We are hopeful that my doctor's letters to our insurance company will pursuade them to reimburse us for Ian's Neocate. In the meantime, we are saving our receipts. Any idea, if once the insurance company reimburses us, will they reimburse us for an Ebay purchase?

I'm gonna guess not. Good luck with the insurance!  I couldn't even get them to cover the thickener we needed.  Love the pic!!!!

Wendy/mydreamcametrue  has bought neocate off ebay, but I don't know about insurance...  ???

Not sure what to tell you. Here insurence doesn't cover formula at all. :( Just wanted to send my support your way. I hope it does work out.

I somehow doubt insurance will cover it bought from ebay. My friends who have twin boys had them both on Neocate for many months and insurance covered it but they had to fight hard and the doctors had to submit letters saying one was FTT otherwise (true) and the other projectile vomited from anything else and would become FTT (again true) without Neocate and it was their sole source of substenance at that time.
