DD keeps standing up in crib...
« on: January 01, 2008, 13:56:22 pm »
My DD has gotten into the habit of standing up in the crib when I put her down. She stands up and then starts crying. I have to go in many times before she finally goes down.
I'm other people run into this issue. How do you deal with it?

It's a very common problem with that milestone. The best way to get through it is to make sure she has all the time she wants during the day to practice pulling up, and figuring out how to get back down again. If she wants to literally do nothing else, then go with it.

I remember one day Colin spend the ENTIRE day in a playpen pulling himself up and sitting back down again.  ::)

My lo is doing it constantly now!!  I had been doing put down and she got really cranky.  Today I told her sit down and she did, with no fuss!!  She stood up again though, but it was less traumatic.

Just make sure the cot is nice and safe for her and ride it out.  she'll move on to something else next!
