When did you loose the blackout blinds?
« on: January 16, 2008, 15:33:19 pm »
Just a quick question.  I was wondering when you did away with completely blacking out your LO's bedroom?  I ask because DD has blackout blind, lined curtains and a heavy blanket hanging over window and I have the bad habit of never opening them.  Its just a lot of hassle putting it all back in place at nap & bedtime.  On the odd occasion I have opened them I forget to allow extra time before nap to close them all up again.

So when did you do away with them & why?

thanks  :)

Both my boys still have tinfoil on their windows ;D.  Not as needed in the winter for sure but in the summer it doesnt get dark till real late around here so we need it.

Do you think that if it is light in the room she will sleep ok?

Dd still has hers.  If there's still light outside, she will not want to sleep.

thanks ladies  :)

LOL Stacy  ;D

I guess there is no need to get rid of them, the summer will be here before we know it and the sun comes up right into DD room, this is really why I had the black outs to stop early light waking her in mornings.  Its just me I guess, I just long to see her bedroom in day light and like I said I never allow enough time to put all back in place if I open them, have to clear bedside cabinet top get on it and hook blanket over curtain rail then same to cover up window for sleep.  Will leave them in place for now.

thanks again  :)
