1 pm nap is 3hrs post the first nap. but the 1st nap is a45 min nap - on purpose. she goes to bed 4hrs after end of 2ndnap, so about 630/7

Ah, makes sense. That would work in our case too. Really who cares if the 1st nap is a 45min one (because of short A time) as long as she'll go down for it. It preserves the pm nap. So I'm guessing by the time frame, she is sleeping between 1hr30-2hrs on that 2nd one right? I may steal this strategy from you. :P

ps I LOVE your new avatar.....she is just so beautiful with those big blues, and her mouth full of teeth!

13 teeth!!  the girl loves growing teeth!!!

I got the strategy from Layla (Isabella&Jasmine's mum).  Our kids seem to be similar!  I love my 9 and 1 timeframe at the mo - works a treat.

How long do you figure Lilly will take 2 naps? I am putting Grae into daycare when she's 12 months and I am worried about it.

The next time I change the naps will be if she starts to wake earlier int he morning.  then I will cut her first nap to 30mins with the next nap being 2.5hrs later (I think, will have to check). That then brings teh long nap earlier again.  I'll keep doing that until it's one nap.  Or of course, she starts to refuse one of her naps again, and hten will need to do something different.  If she starts sleeping in, then I would try one nap...doesn't happen though!

what is the routine at daycare?  you know, you can always talk to them about her naps if their routine doesn't suit you.  they may change...

Well I am just interviewing the daycares now so I don't know. The one lady I talked to asked about her naps, and seemed pretty open. It's just me trying to be over prepared I'm sure.

On a good note: the whole reason I started posting about this....she is back to regular naps again. She is ready 2hr30 or 3hrs after waking to take that 1st nap, depending on when she wakes. I think the problem was that I was trying to push too hard with the A times. I've decided that I will only let her sleep in until 730am max for now (no more 750am :(). She is going to sleep for naps and bed much easier too.

Thanks Again Aleesa,
Lyndsy
