Yes, hang in there.  It will take time for him to feel comfortable and safe enough to go to sleep on his own again.  Just be consistent and patient.  Maybe you could spend some play time in his room/crib so that he feels that the crib is a safe place.

It helped for us when dd was fighting sleep.  I just let her play in the crib and room before and after her naps with me in the room as well.  It has been so long but I do remember the fighting/crying did stop after a while.  I can't tell you that it will stop in a few days or weeks as it really depends on your lo's temperment and adaptability.  It is probably not the answer you want to hear but I have discovered that some of the tricks I did with dd to get her to sleep worked on her but not on ds or vice versa.   ::)  It really is a trial and error game with these little bubs.

BW is about listening to your baby.  If you do this, then things will get easier.

I've read your other posts as well.  Really hard to say why he would freak out like that if teething and illnesses are ruled out.  The only other logical explanation would have to be SA.  Here's a plan you could try but it will take time.  I did this with dd when pu/pd didn't work for us.  I learned this from another mom.  It's a combination of  usual pu/pd and GW.  Do your usual routine and if he really starts to freak out when placed in the crib.  Hold him in a cradle position but in the crib.  Hold him till he is calm then let go. YOu may want to keep a firm hand on him if that helps.  If he cries again, repeat.  Do this again and again but each time try to reduce the time you hold him.  You're probably thinking "My poor back!".   ;D  The idea is to get him to fall asleep IN the crib not in your bed.  You may have to sleep next to his crib for the nights you are doing this.  Saves the time from walking back and forth.   Sometimes it feels that they will never get it but they will.  Someone once told me that once you have a plan in place, you need to carry it out consistently and for at least 2 wks to see any results.  If by the end of 2 wks, there is no improvement then reevaluate.

i listen to him ( LOL).....

Yeah I listen to my children all too well too.  I'm such a light sleeper that every grunts/whimper wakes me up as well.
