Is this a reaction to food?
« on: February 04, 2008, 21:41:49 pm »
Today is the third day my 6.5 month old DD has had pears. An hour after eating she went down for a nap and woke up 2 hours later with a line of red bumps under her eye, and it went away within an hour. Is this a food allergy?

It could well be.... maybe try them again in a few days and see. Pears are one of the lowest allergenetic (sorry is that even a word), food according to the dietician, but it obviously can still happen

Allergic reactions can go very quickly. Pears are low on the allergen list but I do know of children that react to them on another forum I go on. My ds also reacts to them, they cause his eczema to flare.
