keep wearing out breastpumps!!!

i have gone through 2 avent breastpumps and one of the medela ones in 6 weeks (i keep exchanging them when their little pumps no longer suck hard enough)... these are the £80+ kind!!!!!  ::) ??? ::) ??? ::) ???
anyone else have this problem?
i am carrying them carefully in their own padded bag, keeping milk away from pumps etc etc.
any thoughts?  i can't beleive i have to go back to mothercare AGAIN  ::)
any recommendations (besides give up  ::))

Hi, I use the ameda personal and 4 of my friends have borrowed it. Its just broke afther 4 years of heavy use so have bought the same again. Its £88 including delivery, the link is below if your interested.
