« on: March 03, 2008, 21:55:59 pm »
i know there is a wide range of what is "normal" for this, but i am wondering how long it typically takes after completely weaning your baby for your period to resume? i nursed for 7 months. thanks!

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on this as I had periods as normal whilst breastfeeding...that's not very helpful of me is it?

Has it been a while since you stopped feeding?  Are you concerned about the lack of period?

I got mine when DD 1 was 4 months old, BF her until she weaned herself at 12 months.  Still BFing DD2, she's 5 months old next week, AF isn't back yet, but I'm sure she'll be along soon!

As far as I know, it's individual to every pregnancy (not even just to every woman), all depends what your hormones do and when.

I weaned my 2nd at 8 months and it took 2-3 months after total weaning to get my period again.
