Does sandy poop mean food allergy?
« on: March 19, 2008, 16:11:03 pm »
Ever since we have switched my one year old dd to cow's milk/2%, she has sandy poop that is very hard to clean off her tushhy.  Could this mean she has a milk allergy?  She was on Alimentum prior to this.

If she was on Alimentum before this then it is possible. Can I ask why your dd was on Alimentum instead of a regular cows milk based formula?

She would be fine on the regular ole formula for a couple of weeks and then she would get runny stools and start to be fussy.  The doctor thought she was building up allergies to milk based formula and then soy.

That would make me think that it definately could be a sign of allergy to the milk. I would speak to her doctor about it.
