lisa how's it going? i don't know which continent you're on - did you have daylight savings this weekend?

i thought it would be the perfect time to do the switch to 1 nap. sunday was a late wake up due to DST, so i did the one midday nap for 2 hours and an early bedtime. all went great but then we had an EW of 5.45 (new time) too! so then it was back to 2 naps monday, with intermittent crankiness thruout the day :-\   i will probably do another post too but now i'm too tired!  let me know how you're getting on. i hope it's going better and that she's waking up later!!!

Hiya

Yes we had the clock change and it was the first time she ever slept in past 6! - She woke at 6.45 (which was of course old time 5.45 but still was a good night for her anyway).  Things going okish - she is most days only sleeping about 1hr 15 mins on average but I know with dd1 it took a while for that to get any longer so am still hopeful.  May still do 2 naps on days when I really have to.  She has been sleeping more hrs overnight most nights so that is really good and also has been waking but going back off to sleep for longer.  Yesterday she woke at 5ish but went back off til 6.15!!!!  Thats probably the best she has ever done.  Today though she woke at 5 and then just dozed until about 5.20.  We are mostly just putting her down about 10.30-11ish as she can't make lunchtime if its 5ish wake up time and then she has a longer afternoon which she handles better than the long am.  Its all very suck it and see at the moment but its nice to have some longer periods of A time so I can take her to more activities.

Hope your EW was a one off and are having some good days this week.
Lisa

nope there have been ew's all week. you're right, it is just a back and forth game of switching until they settle into a routine. i am finding myself doing every other day 1 nap, every other day 2, but sometimes the 2nd doesn't happen!  trying to do a very early bedtime each day so that at least he is well-rested, because he wakes early either way.

you are right though, it's nice to have all this extra time to use for activities and fun together!! xx
