Anyone else using Enfamil Gentlease formula?

Hi,
I am just starting to get my 7.5 month DD on to a bottle but have found the Enfamil A+ formula gives her terrible gas and accompanying tummy pain.  Switched to Enfamil A+ Gentlease yesterday but am finding it tastes really different to the other formula, it has a funny aftertaste almost metallic.  Anyone else find this?  Worried I'm mixing it wrong or something as have never had to mix formula before.

Another Charlotte!!    The aftertaste may be either the low lactose, or the partially broken down proteins.  Mine used it as well, it mixes the same as other formulas.  1 scoop, 2 oz water.  Also, Target and Walmart now make generic versions of Gentlease.

I'm introducing formula to my 3 1/2 month old. I tried the regular Enfamil and it gave her really bad gas, constantly. I switched to the Gentlease and she does much better. She doesn't seem to notice any taste difference, although I am mixing it with EBM for now (half and half).

I also use the Enfimil Gentlease. My son has been on it since he was 6 weeks old. I had great experiences with it for his gas! We have since switched back to Enfimil a+ now that he is a little older and not so gassy and he is doing great on it. But yes I do think it tastes really strange compared to the others!!

Thanks girls!  Reassuring to hear that it does help the LOs and that I am not bonkers and it does taste weird.     Have noticed less gas with DD since using it...however am now starting to wonder is she is lactose intolerant as she is now screaming during the day, usually at nap and bedtime tho so perhaps it has nothing to do with formula...am baffled, so many possible causes!!
