Is it safe to defrost/reheat pork?
« on: May 11, 2008, 10:36:15 am »
I am vegetarian, but my lo if fed meat. However I have never done pork for her. I made a stew and freezed portions. Now my DH says that he is always careful with pork. What is the true. Is it ok to thaw it in the fridge, then reaheat? What is safe? any tips please

I've never heard anything about reheating or defrosting pork thats any different then any other meat.

Uncooked defrost in the fridge.
Cooked you can defrost in the fridge or microwave even.

I've done it as long as I can remember as have my parents. No issues for us.

It's fine. Pork needs to be cooked really well the first time as slightly more prone to parasites. Then treat like other meat.

No worries. I don't kid myself she gives off an air of feminity! Let alone on a photo 2 inches high!

She's got soo big - I just noticed the new photo!
What beautiful blue eyes - do you think they'll stay blue now? I can't remember what age they change?
