she hates her bed
« on: May 11, 2008, 17:10:33 pm »
I thought I had more or less slept trained my LO when - surprise - she's back with NWs and
 EWs.
But now it's worse. I'm convinced that she hates her crib. The moment we even head towards it, she starts crying and starts screaming when I put her inside.
She curently falls asleep with me inside (yes, inside) the crib. But she's been waking up so often that i've been bringing her to my bed lately.
Also, she has a bottle at 4am otherwise she won't go back to sleep. She also has no routine (long story)

Any words of wisdom are appreciated

Thanks

Hi hun. Big big hugs.  What time does she go to bed and what time does she wake up? Times of nap/naps?  I know you said you have no routine but do you have an approximation?

She's got a bedtime schedule but not a day schedule. She goes to bed at 7:30 and is usually asleep by 8. She wakes up around 7 but on EW days at 6.
I'm not sure if you can see my ticker since I'm currently using my phone, but if not, she'll be 15
 months next week.
She only naps once for about an hour between 11 and 2

I think a daytime routine would help you out alot here. If she's awake for too long during the day (either before nap or before bedtime) then that causes overtiredness and nightwakings.

Also I would be looking at weaning myself from the cot. Any chance you can sit by the cot instead of jumping into it with her???

If she is only taking 1 nap and it lasts for an hour and say ends around 1pm, she really needs to be in bed for the night at around 6-6.30pm
