Hi,

Sorry to hear about the thrush.  Is it a different pain to the nipple pain in the first week or so?

We got the tongue tie snipped and I looked away waiting for the squeal, but he didn't make a noise!  I couldn't believe it, he was calm after, and you could see he was wondering what the funny taste was.  Didn't bleed as much as I thought.

He actually doesn't click or slip anymore, so I'd say it's made a difference in feeding. But for me personally I'm glad to know it won't be a problem in the future.

Hope the tongue tie snip goes well for your LO. :)

Oh no about the thrush. I hope you are both being treated. Don't forget to take some probiotic supplements.

Mum101 - glad to hear it went so well:)

yes, thrush was definatley a different pain.....looking back it was so obvious....burning and itching rather than the cracked nipple pain.  And yes, we're both being treated.  Thansk for the tip on probiotics.

mum101-glad the snip went ok...I'm hoping for the same.  It will be on Tues...alreayd almost 6 wks okd <SIGH> better now than never I guess.  Hope it makes such a quick difference for my lo.

well, we got her tongue clipped and she is still clicking.....<SIGH>  I guess we just have some relearning to do.  She was almost 6 wks old when she got the procedure...that's a lot of history to overcome, but I know now that she CAN do it, so I am working harder to take her off and put her back on once she starts clicking.

bummer, Leobin did a bit of clicking then it petered out, but as you say it may take a bit longer with 6 weeks of 'practise'. Hope it goes well  :)
