Oh dear! hope things were better last night.......and tonight.  Teething *should* only take a few days.

Think Louis is teething too, he's been mega grouchy and had a few bad nights (took him into our bed at 4am as i was SO fed up :-[)

I give him calpol if in doubt.

As for feeding, if you think she might need a feed in the night i would be tempted to do it as a DF so it doesn't perpetuate the habit of needing milk when she wakes.

Fingers crossed for tonight
Laura

Hi, well we have dramatically reduced the night feeds to 1 or 2 but she is only settling in our bed and I am worn out with sleep training. Two weeks of it and I have had enough - really effects my mood, especially when the nw continues. So decided to have a break from it and we go on hol in a week which may screw up any further progress anyway. Thanks so much for your help and wishing us all sleep, Dawn x

Hi Dawn,
I'm following your post with interest as I have a 7 month old little boy who is still up once or twice a night for feeds that I'm sure he doesn't need. I am trying to get an action plan sorted in my head and then I will tackle the night feeds. Keep us posted on how you're going and it hopefully(!) will give me confidence and hope to sort out these nw.
Our lo's sound quite similar that they go to sleep in the pram or carseat and don't nap for very long. Zac always falls asleep feeding at bedtime which I am sure doesn't help things. I think I'm in for a really tough few days...

(((Hugs))) Sal :)

I'm hardly ever (read never!) about on BC anymore but we just weaned Callie's night feed.  She is still up during the night :P but no feeds ;)

Hi Nicola,

No I don't read the BC anymore either; nice to 'see' you again. Zac was woke up at 2am last night and I fed him but then woke again at 4am, my husband went to him and it took nearly an hour but he did go back to sleep (without a feed) and slept until 7am.

We'll get there

:D That's how we started weaning NFs with Callie too.  I would only feed on first waking and then soothe until morning if I needed to.  Once we had only one waking consistently, I started to wean that one.

Good luck and keep us posted! x

Dawn

First of all, hope you have a good - and restful - holiday  :D

Personally i would try to maintain what you've achieved with the night weaning and let the co-sleeping ride for now.  Its a lot to try to do all in one go.

Hope the break does you good
