hi , just wondered if someone can help, my lo is 1 year old and sometimes she takes nap in afternoon and sometimes she doesnt. for the last week she has been crying at bedtime as soon as we put her in cot. she show signs of being tired . couple of weeks ago we were putting her to bed at 7 but she wasnt settling doing the same thing as now crying. we discovered she wasnt tired enough to go to bed. she was getting up at 4pm and bed at 7pm . we did a later bedtime as she settled like a dream bedtime 7.45. now she is doing it again we cant put her to bed any later
routine
7.00 wake up  bottle
8.20 breakfast
9.40 nap time till 11.00
11.00 wakeup
12.00 lunch, drink
15.00 nap time if she will have one  usually she will have one and we have to wake her up at 16.00 , if she sleeps later than 16.00 she isnt tired at bedtime.
16.30-17.00 dinner drink
18.00 bath
18.30 or 18.45 bottle
19.45 bedtime. this is when it gets hard we put her to bed and she cries . last night she didnt settle till 21.20.any ideas would help

Could it be seperation anxiety? I am sure(ish) that this can be a problem around this age.
Not sure what you do if it is that though!!
I dream of hot cups of tea and delicious cake, long chats with friends and luxurious bubble baths!!

I'm wondering if she is just not tired enough for bed - have you tried limiting the pm nap to say 45 mins so she is tired at bedtime?

What happens if you just leave her - my ds will fuss at bedtime and sometimes it will take him ages to fall asleep - I just leave him to it until he cries a mummy I need you cry.
