Hello,

I haven't been on the forum for a while mainly because we were doing well. Until my DD started going to the nursery two weeks ago.
She would normally have a nap in the morning, before lunch and in the afternoon, so would at least have two 1 1/2 hours sleeps during the day.
She is quite obvious when she's ready for her nap-starts sucking her thumb and I just take her to her cot without complaint from her and she falls asleep.
Since she's started going to the nursery, she only sleeps for 30 min there and they need to stroke her head to get her to sleep so by the time I pick her up (1.30) she is overtired.
At home, she's refuses to lie down in her cot and keeps standing up and wanting me to stay with her in the room which kind of turns into a battle, me constantly putting her down, stroking her head and then her standing up when she's almost asleep! I don't know what to do anymore, it's exhausting and I feel like I'm doing a lot of APing which must be confusing her even more.
I've got a feeling that she's going through a SA phase which is made worse by going to the nursery and that she wants to nap less during the day but I just don't know how to get her to stop standing up in the cot and get her to have at least some sleep.
Any ideas, anyone, I'd be most grateful...

hi
i'm just going to send this over to toddler sleep because she's so close to a year and you're having trouble with nursery etc so more mums over there would have the experience with those issues to help you.  ;)

It's totally normal to have some sleep disturbance when LO starts nursery. Does she have her own bedding there? That made a HUGE difference for us. :)

You might want to sleep with it yourself for a couple of days so that it smells like you.
