Krissy :(  Sorry to hear about that. If it keeps up maybe you should create a post about it?? The waking up screaming would tell me that maybe he was a little OT?? When did the 25min break occur in nap #1, did you have to help him back to sleep, or did he put himself back to sleep.

Paula - how is Abi feeling? Have things settled down at all?

Things are all over the place for us right now.

Today would have easily been a one nap day if we would have had a decent wake up. I think today was day seven of EW. We've had them as early as 4:45 again. Remember Paula we went through that awhile ago? We seem to get those when a major change is coming about, so I am about 95% sure that we are on our way to one nap.
He did 4h20m of A time this morning with great ease. Went down great. Was not showing OT signs AT ALL, so we'll see how long he naps for. I'm just going to let him sleep. And then maybe do a shorter nap later in the day (although those seem to be causing problems of their own)

Yesterday he had 3h25m of daytime sleep, and we got the same EW that we have been getting the last week. (5:30am) I was worried that we would get a crib party in the middle of the night, but he was just OT from 4 days of complete madness, so I think the caught up, and that's why he was just going and going this morning).

the 25 min break was after an hour and 15 min of napping. then he went back down for 20 min, no i didnt have to help him. he usually goes back on his own..

Was he crying or talking?? Just curious, most of our naps are 1h15/1h20m even after long A times.

How's today going??

So Sherry....what would happen if you wait til you get a decent wakeup...say 6 or 6:30am and then stretch him to 5hrs? so a nap at 11 or 11:30 and then depending on how long his nap is, to bed really early...... b/c the first time I did this it ended up in a decent waking b/c she went to bed EARLY but slept 13.5hrs and woke at like 7 or something. what i'm thinking is IF the EWs are due to his 2 naps (like Erika) and he needs ONE nap..it might sort itself out quite quickly...would it be worth sticking it out for 2-3 days to see if he adjusts and takes one long nap?
I mean lets say:
6am wakes
11-1pm nap
5:45/6pm bed
and he PROBABLY would sleep til 6:30/7am...
could you try it?

Sherry, Nicole is on to something there.  Might defintely be worth a try to see how it goes.

How are things today krissy?

Nicole how were E's night and nap?

Well we were back on track today.  Had a waking at 5:30 but she was coughing so coughed herself awake, but went straight back to sleep until 7:20.  Napped from 11:45 - 2:05, so 2 hours and 20 mins nap and then did 5 hours 15 mins before bed.

She was too busy playing, I could not get her changed for bed, tried to change her nappy, and she kept on standing on her hands and feet and balancing on her head wiggling her bum at me.  Cheeky monkey  ::)

Paula, lol at Abi wiggling her bum at you ;D ;D.

Nicole, that's the kind of day I've been aiming for.  When do you do lunch if they're napping in middle of day, before or after nap??  Are you firmly on one nap a day now?

We had a funny day today, he woke at 730 which is great, then fell asleep on me bf at 1115 and woke at 1130 recharged. I couldn't get him back to sleep at 1230, eventually got him to sleep in his pram at 245pm until 415pm.  He went to sleep at 715 pm tonight and so far so good (its now 9pm).  Wonder what time he'll wake tomorrow.

Oh, he's just started making little moaning noises. still sleeping I think.  Hope you all have good nights/days.

Sharon, we do lunch about 11:15ish / 11:30 and aim for her to be in bed for 11:45 / 12:00.  Seems to work pretty well with us.  This is the routine that nursery have them on, so basically stick to this.  Good luck with tonight.

Krissy.....I would stretch him to 12 or even 12:30 if he woke at 7:30...and then EVEN if he only sleeps an hour...say 12:30-1:30....I would put him back to bed at 6.

Hey Nicole - for some reason I didn't see that post up there. I just asked you that question on the other thread, sorry.

The thing is that every day he has done one nap he has only slept about 1h15m. One time he slept 1h30m but he woke up a huge mess that time. I don't mind going through a few days of that, I'm just afraid that it won't improve over time, but I guess I won't know if I don't try right?
