Hey Krissy, that's about what is happening here too :)  I am so excited, I think I've finally found a routine.

This is how it's going for us
wake up around 7, a little earlier or a little later
Nap around 10:30 for 45 min
about 3h15m wake time then into bed, sometimes less.
Wake up from nap around 4  - this nap has been about 1h30 min last few days
In bed around 8

So 2 hours 15 min during the day, but with this new routine I'm getting closer to 11 hours the last few days at night. I know it might change any day now, but I'm just so excited that the last 3 days have been similar.

nap 1  is either 11-1130 or 1230 not sure why it varies
nap 2  is either 230ish-4 OR 430-5ish
sleep by 8pm.

anyway, we'r eback now...she was up today from 5-5:30am....no idea what's buggin her....however that dumb tooth hasn't come through yet...you can see it RIGHT under teh skin, but it hasn't broken through...sigh...

sounds like you two are doing great Sherrylynn and Krissy! way to go!!

hey ladies

not doing so good here. Lewis seems to be really out of sorts since coming back home from holiday.  We are having ew, nw and not napping too well.  I guess it must be a build up of o/t??  Think I'll try to cut down A times to get him back on even keel.

Open to any suggestions!?

he seemed to regress back  on holiday. He usually had 3 hr A time then an 1 1/2 to 2 hr sleep in the am and 3h 30 A in pm with a 45 min to 1 hr nap.

I thought it might be due to the heat.  Anyway, today wasnt too bad.  He had 3h 10 A time in am and slept for 1 hr 10 and then 3 hr 3h 30 in pm and slept for 1 hr 15min.
The other issue we have at the moment is that he goes nuts when you leave the room when he's in his cot. This is new, he used to just talk to himself and fall asleep. Now we have to be in the room while he falls asleep or he cries. I've seem other posts about this and they suggest getting gradually further out the room each night so will maybe give that a go.

Anyhoo, will let you know how the night goes.

Hello ladies,

Back from my holidays  ;D

Abi did fantastically.  Most days napped really well, and she even let us lie in until 8:30 ish, and on our last day it was 9:15  ;D

Back onto a normal routine now that we are back home, so will see how things go.

Great news Paula.

Well, Lewis has just cut another tooth so hopefully things will settle down here.  I'm hoping that was the cause of all the upset lately.

He had a settling in day at nursery today for a couple of hours and was really upset.  He then slept for 2 hrs when he got home.  All that crying must have exhausted him. wee soul.

Sorry Lewis was so upset, poor little man.  Hope he settles into nursery quickly for you  :-*

Abi was quite upset when we dropped her in nursery today, she was pretty clingy, but settled shortly after we left.  She had a fantastic nap at nursery today 2.5 hours, and was asleep by 7pm this evening.  Think she was still tired from last night due to being awake so much with the flight etc.  Fingers crossed we have a good night.

Hi Nicole, I missed you guys too  ;D

Sounds like the phase we went through with Abi, having EW etc.  Sounds like E is a bit OT.  Persist with her routine for a few days, and on the days she needs 2 naps let her have two, things will start falling into place again soon.  I think ours may have lasted a week or two, not 100% sure, but things are back on track now.

We had a good night.  After a 2.5 hour nap, she was asleep before 6:50 and slept until 8:20 this morning  :o thats 13.5 hours  ;D

I'm back!!!!

I have a quick question if anyone's around in regards to naps today.  We've been having a nightmare recently with 11/12 hours sleep total.  On holiday one night he went to sleep at 830pm as he had a late nap and was up at 430am wide awake!

Anyway, last night I put him to bed at 530pm as he refused his afternoon nap and he slept till 510am so nearly a 12 hour sleep.  Now I'm wondering if I should push for one nap today, about 10am-12pm hopefully and go for the same bedtime?  He's waking up early regardless of what I do!  He's already looking a bit tired though and it's only 730am so don't know how far I should push him.  Any suggestions?

Paula - Hope you had a nice holiday.

ugs Nicole.  I let Abi be the judge.  If she was showing tired signs early, then I would put her down early in the AM, let her sleep for about an hour to hour and a half, and then keep my fingers crossed that I could get her down for a short nap in the late afternoon.  On days like this, I was able to get her back on track and she would sleep better in the night and would be able to have 1 nap the next day.

Hi Karen, great to see you.  We had an ok holiday thanks, how about you?

Hmmm, that is a hard one.  How many hours A time is he generally doing before all these early wakings?  You could aim for one nap today like you said and see how things go.  The only way you are going to know how well he does is if you try and see how he does.  Sorry I am not much help.  Let us know what you decide and how things go.

We had a good night.  She cried out in her sleep once or twice but was still fast asleep.  I think teeth are bothering her.  She slept for 12.25 hours last night so not bad, considering she only had 1.5 hours nap yesterday.

Fingers crossed we have a good nap today.  DH has his family coming round to watch the football, right in the middle of nap time, and when the footy is on, they are all very noisy  :-\
