What is A time for an 18 month old?
« on: July 10, 2008, 20:26:44 pm »
My DS has always been a good sleeper (Down at 7ish until 6:60/7 in the morning ), but recently we have been having some EW (5:30) and having posted in the sleep section people have suggested that it may be due to being over-tired, and I'm inclined to agree , but feel I need to know how long his A time should be for his age before I sort it all out!  :-\

His plan at the moment is:

(5:30 EW  ;D)
6:30-7 normal wake up  :)
7/7:30 E
7:30 onwards A
12:15/13 S (up to 2 hours. woken at 3 if not already)
15:00 A
17:00/17:30 E
18:45 Bath, teeth story
19:15 Bed, asleep by 19:30/19:45

I'm getting really tired of it now from trying to work it all out  ???, any thoughts would be appreciated.

When Leorah wakes early it is always because her morning A time is too long but it can also be a sign of needing less nap but 18 months seems young for that so maybe try the reduced A time before the nap  :)

Robert was up at 6:30 this morning, which I am quite happy with (He had 11 hours last night) :-)
Today I've watched really hard for signs of tiredness, he yawned at 11:00 (A 4.5) however I didn't feel I could put him to bed then without eating, so we did an early lunch then he was in bed by 11:45 and asleep by midday (making A 5.5).
Im hoping he will have a long sleep now so that A time isnt too long to make it to bedtime.
Thanks for the advice. will keep you posted. x
