Mom MSPI questions?
« on: July 14, 2008, 00:14:34 am »
I am starting to think that I am possibly milk if not milk and soy intolerant myself.  Everytime I eat dairy in the last few weeks, I am very sick.  It usually passes, but I think it is triggering migraines too.  I have started taking a probiotic and it does help a lot.  Hidden milk does not seem to bother me, but full dairy is a killer.  Any other moms with this issue?  I feel that it is weird to start now, but I have always had digestive issues since college.  i always blamed lactose intolerance, but I am really starting to wonder.  Anyone have insights?  Maybe it is lactose.  I am not drinking anything but rice or almond milk and staying away from all other dairy for now.

If you have had digestive problems since college, then I would think it could be a problem.

So many people avoid dairy and gluten for many reasons.  Some swear it just helps them feel better over all.

For me personally, I thought I was gluten sesitive because I had no digestive problems when on the carb diet. After just recently going to the allergist, I realized I am allergic to white pototoes.  Since not eating them, I have had no digestive problems.

Heck, since your lo has to avoid dairy, I would try it myself and see how you feel.

Yes sounds like it :( I know that whenever I drink full fat milk or eat cheese , I get the runs, so know I am little bit intolerant, it triggers my IBS, hidden dairy doesnt though, and my daughter is MSPI xxxx

Thanks girls.  I am right now avoiding any dairy to see what happens.  I am still taking the probiotic to see too.
