Yoghurts (and puddings)
« on: July 17, 2008, 18:01:23 pm »
Ive been buying the big tubs of greek yoguhrt to mix with fruit for my lo. But as it only keeps 3 days after opening and he doesnt eat much at all we are wasting a lot (me and dh don't like yoghurt much). I wanted to get those tiny little pots for kids but know people warn about the sugar content. What is considered too much sugar, how many grams?

He does eat a lot of fruit but I wanted some new ideas to give him for pudding that aren't really unhealthy. I plan to make some rice pudding, is there anything else apart from plain fruit?

You can buy small (100ml-ish) pots of natural Yeo Valley Organic yogurt in the UK which should meet your needs! Buy full-fat, not the reduced-fat version until 2 years old :)

Bananas and custard (homemade or powdered if you want to control the amount of sugar).

We get the Yeo Valley fruit tumbles or the Rachels organic first yoghurts.
