Cant access BW from home anymore...but can access any other website

HI

I have spent 2 days working with our internet technicians and we can not come up with a reason why my home computer can not access BW anymore. I have been on BW for nearly 3 yrs and never had a problem.  I can go to any other website no worries. We have added BW to my safe list and done everything we can to see if it is a problem with my PC, but nothing has been found......Any ideas if BW server rejects PCs?? Or any reason why i can no longer get on to BW (Im at work and have no worries there)

Kirsty ... do you have BW saved on your favourites?  Are you trying to access it from there?  If so, will your PC let you on if you google BW or type the address into your browser?

Have you tried pressing the magic f5 button? Also, try and see if you can pop in your XP or Vista disc and repair the system if you have other problems.

If that doesn't work, try another browser (Mozilla instead of IE or IE instead of Mozilla).

Also, have you tried Control Panel - Internet Settings - Security (or something like that, mine is in German  ) and have a look if you have put it in untrustworthy sites by accident.

Could also be a firewall problem (there was another thread about ppl having to download things when they want to come here). Which one are you using? If it's one where you can see what is blocked (like Zone Alarm), try and unblock the right one.

Thanks for your help. I type in the address and it wont connnect, I have clicked on link for BW from goggling it and that wont work either.....so far we have no reason for it. I have checked and added it to my safe list, tried another browser, had technician change my IP address, just about everything that can be done has been doen so far..............just wanted to see if BW server ever blocks an address?

Checked your firewall? Changed your browser? If it's not too risky, try and put the firewall down a bit and see what happens.

Have you tried to clear your cookies and then try the web site.....?

When you have your internet window open...go in to Tools....then click on the tab for Delete Cookies and on top of that just clear your History tab too....then try to go back in to the website...I have this problem when accessing HP's website and it works everytime...best of luck!

Try flushing out your computers cache.

To do this in Microsoft Windows - Win XP, Win ME, Win 2000:

- Start -> Run -> type cmd
- in command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns

That should flush out the dns cache in your computer.  Once that's done, navigate back to Babywhisperer.com and choose the message boards link.

Thanks everyone.....i will try some more of these tonight......I have tried deleting cookies and temporary files and that didnt work either Im sooooo lost at the moment not having my beloved site at home....!!!
