How do I dispute this logic?

Me: time for bed. (at 8ish)
Mouse: it's not dark yet!!

So how the heck do I get around this one?  The kid is too darned smart!!   ::)

Tell her it is dark when she closes her eyes!

Methinks that your dd is certainly going to keep you on your toes as she gets older.

I like it!!  If we can just get to fall, then it will be dark then.  ;)  At least we are'nt in Alaska.

LOL.  Every morning, Zara wakes up and says "its not dark" over and over as she climbs out of bed.  It is winter now, it is not getting light until nearly 6:30am (which is when she is waking).  Come summer, it will get light as early as 4:30 :P

We get this often.  Our answer is,"The sun is waiting for you to sleep so he can go to sleep."  So far she hasn't try to dispute that.

Of course we also get this when she wakes early,

DD:  It is still dark.  Why did you wake me?
Me:  Do you want to go back to sleep?
DD:  No.  I will wait for the sun to get up downstairs.

May try the sun is tired thing one of these days.  On the other hand, I tried the "mama has to feed the kitties" to get out of the room.  Her answer: they have food.  True, the lil' booger had dumped a bunch in the bowls that afternoon.  I'm in trooouble!!!!

Trust me Rina, that has been done.  Also, gotta get the phone, do laundry, tuck daddy in, etc.  Sometimes they work.  last night I said that dawgie could not sleep with all of her noise.  Rolled over and went to sleep.  Either it worked, or she was really tired.
