hi
usually they drop to 3 bottles around 9 mo.

my Lo always refused her morning bottle, she is not  a big eater when she first wakes... so i switched breakfast and this bottle because otherwise i couldn't get her to drink it.  she is taking a bottle before her naps.

this is what we do on 2 naps:

7awake
7:30 breakfast
(depending on when nap is may offer snack here)
10 bottle
10:30-12 sleep
12:30 lunch
(again may have snack)
3:30 bottle
4-4:30 sleep
5:30-6 dinner
7:30 bottle
7:45 bedtime

given your routine this is what i would do:
7 awake and bottle
8 breakfast
10 snack
11-12:30 nap
12:30 lunch
2:30 bottle
3:30 snack
4:30-5 nap
6 dinner
8 bottle
8:30 bed

at around 12 mo they drop to 2 bottles which i am working towards and do only 2 on 1 nap days.
on 1 nap:
7awake
7:30 breakfast
10 snack with milk from sippy
11:30 lunch
12 bottle
12:30-2:30 sleep
3 snack and milk from sippy
5 dinner
6:30 bottle
7 bed

1230- BOTTLE
130 LUNCH
330 snack
430-5/515 NAP

i would do lunch at 12:30 and bottle at 2 or something - just works better to have lunch at a "normal" time.  but 3 bottles should be right for him.  my LO takes 8 oz for her 2 day bottles and 10 oz at night.

at that age i always gave 3 bottles and 3 meals...sometimes she would get a baby mummum between meals if she was in the stroller.  i started adding snacks at about 10-11 mo and even then snacks were maybe a few cheerios or a baby mummum.  now i kind of guage it by how hungry she is and how much she ate at the meal.  sometimes she has a yogurt or a fruit cup, cheerios or fish crackers or sometimes nothing if she's not hungry.  today she had a snack in the afternoon only.

at his age if he's eating meals well and can get through his nap without waking due to hunger then it's ok to not have snacks.

3 bottles works better right now with these longer A times. Definitely. But im just still not sure whether to do lunch-bottle or bottle lunch..his bottles are 7oz but i still think he is only getting around 18-19oz a day cause he doesnt finish them all..is that enough?

also i wanted to ask something else..
in the mornings he wakes as i said before between 615-630 and will chat and go back to sleep until either 650/7/715 something like that..but sometimes he wakes, sleeps, wakes , sleeps on and off till later..
what should be the cut off..like if i hear him AWAKE at 7 should i just get him?
i think so

i would do lunch then bottle so his meal times can be with family at the regular time.

if he is gaining weight well and sttn (not waking hungry) as he is, then you can assume he is eating enough.  my LO takes about 25 oz a day of milk/formula, but she doesn't really eat a lot at meals.  they're all different.

i'd get him up at 7 like you said.

this morning he started yawning at only 3.5 hours...i didnt know whether it was a bored yawn or not so i waited..then two more yawns and some shirt sucking started..cues for sleepy time..so i put him down, he fell asleep in seconds..woke at 30 min with a squeal and went right back down on his own..still sleepng now just over 1.5 hours..im gonna let him sleep cause we are going out and he can have his cat nap in the car on the way home and a slightly early bedtime if he needs it..BUT i wanted to ask..whats with the fluctuation in A times? they dont regress do they? like  the morning of one nap he did almost 4.5 hours but now hes tired at 3.5? does that mean he cant handle it anymore?
here was yesterday..

wake 645
a time 4 hours 5 min
nap 1050ish-1140 he woke screaming, i think a poo diaper
a time 3 hours 20 min  ?? usually can do over 4 in the afternoon
nap 3pm-5ish, woke at 335 for 5 min crying and right back down
bed was 850 i did this on purpose because he slept almost 3 hours yesterday in the day and i didnt want EW.

this morning he woke at 7 so just over 10 hours night sleep only

my Lo is doing this too, usually on 2 naps she does A times of 3.5 hours then 4 hours then 3 hours but when 1 nap she'll do 5.5 to 6 hours first and then 5 hours after the one nap which is 2-3 hours long, and then the next day or a few days later it's back to 3.5 hours.  crazy.  i think it just takes her a bit to catch up from just doing the 1 nap.  i don't have any other explanation for you  ???

one thing i have noticed though...this transition is taking way longer than the 3 to 2 transition which only took about 3 weeks for us.  like i said before she's been doing 1 or 2 naps for about 2 months now.  when it started she did a 1 nap day about once a week and now the frequency of the 1 nap has increased and how long it takes her to recover from it has reduced.  this week she has done 5 out of 7 of the days 1 nap and just needed 2 days of 2 naps to recover.  so she is kind of inching closer to really being just on 1 nap.

i have found it extremely frustrating as i never really know how many naps she is going to do and it has been going on for 2 months now.  so i try to guess when she wakes up how many naps it'll be and plan my day but like yesterday i thought she would do 2 naps so i made sure i was home by 10:30 am and tried to put her down but she didn't go so i was home, had to stay home, give her lunch and try again at 12:30 at which point she did finally go down and slept for almost 3 hours.  but it totally screwed up all my plans for the day and i was home from 10:30 to 3 which i really would have rather not been.

i don't think they revert.  when he's caught up on sleep he'll do another 1 nap day and then you'll have a frustrating period when you never know what he's going to do.  don't have any advice for that for you because i'm having a hard time dealing with it myself.  try to be flexible i guess and don't get too worked up about it.  easier said than done!

do you think the EW was due to OT or too much sleep yesterday?
