pineapples??

hey!! my lo tried pineapples today ..maybe for the 3rrds time...but its the 1st time hes actuall liked it...
apart from the  stinging feelin in his tongue he kpt complaining abt...
i appled sme glycerine on his lips & tongue..but was wondering if theres anything else i cd use for mouth blisters???
yeah ..and i think this is the last time ill give him pineapples again :-X

I'm guessing it was fresh?  That would account for the stinging.  A bit of teething gel to his sore areas can help.  And some really cold milk.  Canned pineapple seems to be less of a problem.  :)

I get that same feeling with pineapple and some other fruits. 

If he is having some sort of allergic reaction, I would give a dose of benadryl (antihistamine).

When my older son had hand foot and mouth a few years ago, the doctor told me to mix 1/2 tsp benadryl and 1/2 tsp milk of magnesia and use a q-tip to apply it to his sores on his gums, tongue and lips.  It really helped soothe them.  I just used a clean q-tip each time.
