How do you start EASY with a newborn?
« on: August 10, 2008, 19:14:51 pm »
Well, she's now 3 weeks old.

I followed EASY when my Son was a lot older and it worked, I just wondered how we followed it with a 3 week old.  She sleeps all the time and has now started to stay awake for a good few hours from about 3am!!!

We started from the day we brought her home, just trying to get in a routine.  I was bfing, so I made sure I fed her every 3 hrs during the day (so waking her if I needed), and 5 hrs at night (again, waking if I needed).  So I'd start the day around 7, aim for the next feed by 10, and basically the time in between was feeding and napping (and sleep training).  I sort of organized the day around her feedings and went from there.
