I brought this up in the General Health Forum, but they don't think it has to do with teething.  Though I'm not sure what constitutes for normal diarrhea.  This is what I posted::

So the last 3 days my almost 1 year old son has had diarrhea, his bum is super red and sore, he cries every time I change him.  Is diarrhea a symptom of teething?  I don't really know if he's teething or not, but he is drooling a lot, but he's been drooling a lot since he was born.  Oh, I forgot to mention that even though the thermometer doesn't say he has a huge temperature he feels really warm and has been really sweaty.
His BM's are liquid like between the consistency of yogurt and water, it varies, and doesn't have much of a smell to it.  I don't even notice that he pooped except he gets really upset as it hurts his bum.  When he passes gas it sounds all ..wet.. tmi ugh.  He probably ends up having 5 bm a day because of it.

The lady I was talking to said it didn't sound like it was due to teething, so I'm bringing my question over here.  Is it possible that the Rice milk is causing this??  Though he's been on it now for 4 weeks and this diarrhea has just started over the last 3-4 days.

EDIT:: No new foods have been introduced except the whole wheat bread I made that is free of milk, oats, barley, and is pretty basic.  I started giving this to him this past Saturday and his diarrhea started Sun/Mon, I don't quite remember.  This being said he hasn't really eaten the bread.  He has taken a bite or two, played with it in his mouth and then spits it out.  He MAY have swallowed one little bite of it.  I give it to him every day to play with.  He basically just pokes at it, and he does lick it every time.  Along with all this he is getting little mini red bumps around his mouth, cheeks, chin.  His eczema on his feet seem to be coming back!  Just a little, but still.  He is also cranky, but I'm not sure if that's anything or if he just is in pain from the red bum.

Another update.  I was just changing his diaper to put him to bed when he got all gassy, was passing gas, and then had a little BM.  It literally came out like liquid, like water.  Also to mention his poops have gotten more yellow in colour, whereas before I would say they were orange/brown from all the sweet potatoes, carrots and squash he eats.  He still eats those, though not as much as he seems to be more tired all the time and won't stop rubbing his eyes for more than two seconds to eat some food besides his milk.

Oh and his congestion came back on Monday.  I thought at first he might have a cold, but nope it's not a cold.  Just runny nose and sneezing a lot, but not in that cold type way... you know, hard to explain that lol.  If it was a cold my daughter would have gotten it by now.

It deft. is something. YIKES.  I could be either a bug he is getting or deft. yes the wheat.

Didn't you say he could not have oats or barley?

I would not give it anymore at all and see if the rash/diaherra clear up.  If not then he may have a stomach virus.

Deft. go to the allergist.  But, before you go, Ask them if he is not exposed to certain foods Milk, Wheat, etc.  would they show on the allergy test since he has not eaten them in a long time.

Okay, I'll definitely do that when I see the allergist.  Yes, he reacts severely to oats and barley.  His diarrhea reminded me of what happens when he even has a little bit of oats or barley.  Today he hasn't had any wheat bread and his diarrhea stopped!  He had one when he first woke up, and that was it.  Nothing else all day.  I definitely think it was the wheat now.  Now I just have to wait to see if his little bit of eczema and congestion goes away over the next few days.
