Hi HLS - Please post on the nap board. There are great ladies who will be able to help you tremendoulsy. It sounds like you might be starting the 2-1 switch, but it can take a long long time. They can discuss with you the best way to approach it for you and your LO. :)

I thought i might jump in here. My lo has been on the 2-1 road starting around 10 months of age, and is now 13 months and she is on 1 nap a day, some days she might have a 2 nap day depending on if she needs it. ITs great cos there is that flexibility where she can switch between the 2 if she needs it. I must say from 10 months its been a long journey esp with the EW's. But since the 1 nap no EW's.  I would have to say to all you 2-1ers you will get there, it may take your lo a few months to maybe more but in the end its worth it. I say hang onto 2 naps as long as possible if they need it, otherwise i say go for it if you think they are ready, but you can always go back between the 2. My lo's day is like this

7am wake
12pm sleep (2 hours)
2pm wake
6.30pm sleep

wakes between 7 and 7.30am  on 1 nap, on a 2 nap day

7am wake
10.30am sleep (15 min i wake her)
10.45am wake
1.15pm sleep (2 hours)
3.15pm wake
7.15pm ish sleep

Going through this at 10.5 months along with early wakings. I have only been able to get PM nap in the car or stroller for some time regardless of the length of the morning nap.

hope someone can help, but my lo is 9,5 months and recently started refusing all naps. He will literally scream the place down when put in his cot to nap. He's always gone in his cot and his routine has stayed the same. Today he woke at 7am and evetually went to sleep at 13:20hrs, he didn't even show sign's of tiredness. He slept for just for 20 minutes. He was alittle cranky this afternoon but in general was ok. He was back in bed for the night at 7pm

Does this sound like he's changing his sleeping pattern from 2-1?

Hi ladies! I think this poll has run its course, so I will lock it and set it up as a sticky for future reference. Anyone needing help with transitioning to one nap is more than welcome to post on the Naps board...you are sure to get loads of help and support there :)
