Split from :I need help - Emma, Katie...
« on: August 18, 2008, 12:26:32 pm »
Hi there

Just to add to this post....
I am just back from the doctor........again!!!
I had blocked ducts a number of weeks ago, and got an anti biotic, two weeks later I had thrush, thrush cleared up and now I have another really bad infection of the  breast and am on an anti biotic again, My DS is 14 weeks odl, I had a really positive BF experience until about 4 weeks ago and now every time I feed on the right breast I want to give up. The left breast is fine. I have really enjoyed BF  but the last few weeks when I feed on the right I am not enjoying it, I was pumping for two weeks off the right breast when I had thrush as it was too sore to feed off, and now with the infection again............. I am not sure I can do any more. I had decided last week when things got better to give it another go and look where I am now. Like I say I have really enjoyed my BF experience I don't want to be a martyr either......isn't it so hard to decide what to do!!!! Help!!

This is a decision only you can make. The thing to remember is you can't go back, so be sure you're at peace with whatever decision you do make.

You've been to the dr, but have you seen a breast feeding specialist? They are often more experienced with your specific problems.
