Angela -
The only thing that pops out is I wouldn't extend that first A time and cut that nap at the same time.
Just keep the first A time the same? Cut the nap... and that next A time will extend on it's own since you cut that nap and are putting her down at the same time??? If she will make it to that nap time??? Does that make sense??

Oh... and I didn't mean that Z is ready to go to one nap, just that she might be starting the wonkiness on the long road to one nap :)

Hey Angela, You haven't been back to rant so I am suposing an hopng you had a good night.  I agree with Sherry that the 2nd a time will stretch automatically if you cut the 1st nap shorter, so wouldn't stretch it further.

LOL no ranting today!! :)  She STTN!!!  Slept from 7pm until 5:30...quick wake up to get unstuck and drink a bit of water...then sleep until 7:15am!!!!!  WOOOO HOOOO!!!!

charmie - I'm not extending the 2nd A time any more...I think it's the 1st A time that Sherry means, not to extend that AND cut the nap short.  Although she wasn't too tired for the first nap so maybe we will try the same routine today.

 ;D ;D

well, today she had 3h15min A time, 50min nap, 3h27min A time (not my choice, she took a while to get to sleep), 1.5h nap, then 3h8min of A time before bed.  I guess it was 8 minutes too much b/c she was quiet for almost half an hour, then started thumping around and crying a bit.  I went in and cuddled her for a few minutes and then put her back, and she went to "sleep".  I'm not exactly sure b/c she ended up in a weird position (right against the railing) but I don't want to move her in case I wake her.   :-\ :-\  I hope tonight goes well.  *fingers crossed*

Tomorrow we are going to MIL's for dinner and I think I want to take 2 cars so that Z and I can come home early for bedtime.  She ALWAYS gets OT whenever we go there for dinner.

Angela - good luck for the night. I have my fingers crossed for you. I think that's a good plan for the MILs.

I second the plan for the ILs.  James is always super grumpy when we get home from dinner over there.
I hope tonight goes well :)

I always take 2 cars when we go to MILs. I like the option of leaving early iykwim.

Our night was not bad...she woke twice, once around 2am and then once later, I don't know what time.  Both times DH went in, checked to make sure she wasn't stuck and left and she settled herself.  Woke for the day around 7:30am. ;D

Now tonight the trick is to see if I can get back home and her into bed by 3h.  I may have to do an eat-and-run at MIL's. :P
