Thanks so much Enna:

I do remember the Natropath doctor talking about your body may have a reaction some days, some not.  That makes perfect sense.

Well he got his first piece of fruit in 4 days tonight.  Well......  let's just say, all hell broke loose.  :(  He did have avocodoe also though with it.

I was at the gym, but my DH said he would not sit still, he screamed, cried and acted like he was on drugs.

I just have NO CLUE anymore.

<Big Hugs> poor little guy. On a good note though thats certainly tested out that particular fruit, or maybe you could try it again in a few days without avocado to see if you can isolate whether its the avocado or the fruit  :-\

I am so sorry that things are not going well. It might be worth trying to wean to neocate though then it wil give Tyler all his nutritional needs whilst you are trying to work out what foods are causing the problem. When we first gave James neocate at around 12 months he hated it. We had to gradually wean him onto it. We had James on just neocate in a week so for him it did not take long. I know people that have done it slower though. This would give you the oppurtunity to trial one food at a time. I know it will be hard work but it will be worth it if you can get Tyler back to baseline.

Very true Kelly.  Today he actually has been an abosulate angel.  I cannot even believe I can use those words.

The only thing I can think of is I started him back on prevacid yesterday and maybe that was it??  I thought his reflux was not really bothering him, but that could be the route of it all.

Thanks again, Wendy

Well we got Tyler's Food Intolerance test results in today.

He is intolerant to POTATOES!!  Sweet, white, red, any kind.  I was on the phone with her when she told me and I said "Oh... I just gave him sweet potatoes" and she said to plan on a bad fussy day.  Well it has been.

He has a combintion food intolerance to sugar and fruit.  He can not eat them together.  He can have them, but 4 hours apart.

So I was giving him Rice chex cereal with fruit on top.  Well the rice chex has sugar in it.

He did not show intolerant to milk, wheat, nothing else.

She said that once we remove the potatoe and not do the combination of sugar and fruit, then we proably can introduce the foods that caused problems like milk and wheat.

It will take about 1 week or more for him to feel better.

Very interesting, because I showed allergic to potatoes on my allergy test.  Whenever I eat them, I get really ill.

So let's hope we have our answers.

Doesn't explain his EXTREME fussiness when he was a baby and not eating solids at all, but there again that could just been a very immature digestive system

Thanks guys.  I was VERY shocked when I went to the allergist a few months ago and I showed allergic to potatoes.  That would explain why when I was on the Carb Free diet, I felt great and had no tummy issues at all.  I always thought it was wheat.

Hmm. . . my cousins have a potato intolerance (although I think it's specific to some part of the potato) and they were told that some vitamins extracted from potatoes are used to enrich flour, so virtually all processed foods and foods made with your average wheat flour from the grocery store have potato traces and can cause problems.  I'm pretty sure it's potatoes.  Did your naturpath tell you anything along these lines?

I know that processed cheese (shredded cheese), has potatoe starch in it.

I went to an all natural grocery today and was looking for some wheat free cake mixes, WELL they all had potato starch in them.  All the recipes I saw used potato stratch also.

I have researched it some and it also says that tomatoe, eggplant, green, red peppers and cayenne pepper are in the same "family" and may cause problems.

I am sure potato is used in a lot of processed foods.  She did not mention that potato could be in regular wheat products. Interesting I am going to have to research that.

I don't think it is a very common intolerance or allergen so it is not listed in bold print like wheat, milk, soy etc. is on foods.

She is supposed to be sending me a 5 page report though, so maybe that will have more info.

That is very interesting. James reacts badly to sweet potato but seems ok with white potato I am not sure why. It is hard when you are not looking for common allergens as like you said they are not printed in bold so they don't jump out at you. I think from personal experience I would wait a while before reintroducing foods that were causing issues before. It will be great though if these new test results mean that Tyler will be a happy little boy. I really hope that the new diet does the trick.

Hello:  She did a prick of his ear lobe (less painful, then a finger prick),look a small blood sample and sent it off.  From there I don't know what happened.

BUT......  It is helping.  He has had zero gas and overall seems to be getting better each day.

I just got my detailed list of ingredients to avoid and things potato could be in and I am very overwhelmed.

Also I have to be very careful because sugar is in LOTS of food or deriatives of sugar and he can't have sugar and fruit together.sx
