are naughty words censored?

of course i would never use them on the main boards but i sent a pm with a mild swear word on it to a bw friend and it changed the word completely. Never noticed this before. . . Not that i swear a lot, oh goodness, am making myself look bad now!!! Is this a new thing to help with moderation of threads where people may slip up and use a swear word?

Yes and it even changes the word too .I tried to write locum and carseat before and it wouldn't let me unless I spaced them out but it is letting me now for some reason . They are not even swear words

ah see i missed that bit lol! I baffled my bw buddy with odd words but it gave us a giggle lol! Xthank you :-) glad it's not just me that noticed it. Makes the mod job a bit easier in a sense then :-)

But it makes it hard for readers to work out some words ,especially if they are not swear words .It took me ages one night to get around the " locum " .I thought I had hit the wrong keys ,used the spell check but in the preview post before posting ti was saying "locum" but not when i posted .I was baffled ( doesn't take much ) I had to use a space in the right place to get the word to come up  ::) . The person I was writing to thought it was a british slang word for something  ;D

Oh ladies....you are behind the times, get with the programme!!

The auto sensor was switched back on about a month or so ago. However, we mods complained to Gareth that it was a bit over the top...carseat got changed to cumbat, simply because of the a r s e in the middle  ::) And locum because of the c u m. Gareth relaxed the rules slightly to keep us happy  :P

Can't believe you've only just noticed! Oh hang on, it obviously means you have cleaner mouths that mosy of us LOL!

I think it was the BLW threas that tipped us off....c u c u m b e r caused problems  ::)

i'm tempted to try a naughty word just to see what happens!! LOL. but i wont'.....


ok, i lied.  i tried it, and then deleted it!!!!  I wondered why everyone was starting to say wee*ed.

Also, I have now worked out why carseat and locum WOULD be censored.
