GOOD THINGS about Night wakings!
« on: September 16, 2008, 20:14:22 pm »
I never used to be able to drink more than two cups of coffee a day, and they had to be before noon or I wasn't able to sleep AT ALL that night.

NOW, thanks to my lovely 8 week old, I can caffeinate myself any ole time of the day and still fall sleep on a clothesline!

Hooray!

There are many advantages to nightwakings.  My neighbour who has a 5 week old told us juicy gossip about neighbours that she saw last night!  I miss nightwaking sometimes, I remember seeing all sorts when Alex used to wake!

I remember when our LO was a tiny infant having the odd 5am wake up where she just wouldn't go back down for a while, taking her outside in her moses basket to sit with a cup of tea and just watch the stars....

I don't miss being super over-tired, but I do miss some of those special times!

We still have the odd NW where DD and I are not actually that tired and we end up giggling under the duvet together before we fall back to sleep in a big smooshy, cuddly mess - oh, my, how I love that girl.

What a fabulous post.
