I bet that is so frustrating.

I think you would be safe trying green beans and peas.  Just think of all the stage 1 baby foods and try them, of course not the baby food, but cut up pieces.

At least you know he is getting his nutrients from the Neocate.

Hehe, yeah exactly.  Ever since he's been on the neocate I feel better knowing that he is getting his nutritional needs met.

I would do green beans rather thean peas as I know that out of vegetables peas and corn are the most likely to cause reactions. If I remember correctly this is due to the protein in them.

I think I have read that somewhere also.

My allergy list says that 5% of people that react to peanuts, will react to other legumes - Peas, lentils, beans.

My son had mucus in his BMs too. It was terrible and really worried me, but the doctors (pediatrician and GI specialist) weren't concerned. They said that it just means that his stomach was a little upset. My son has reflux, plus the milk and soy protein intolerence. Who knows if they were connected. Once he got off of formula (he was on special formula too) and on to Lactaid milk at 12 months, it went away. The doctors said that mucus doesn't bother them; blood in the BMs is what they look for.
