"My Messages" section not working for me?

I can't seem to get the "my messages" section to work. When I try to go to my inbox or reply to a PM it just never loads and takes me to a blank white page. At the bottom of my browser it says it is done loading. Maybe this is a problem with my browser or computer? I use a macbook and firefox, though I've also tried safari. I've never had this issue with any other forums. Not sure what to do. Thanks!!

I don't know why I didn't think to search for similar questions, I guess I figured it was just a problem with my computer. So thanks so much for those posts, I went and pruned my inbox and it worked! I can now access my messages section. Thanks so much!!
