How long do you have to do wake to sleep for??
« on: September 30, 2008, 11:47:14 am »
Hi

I recently posted that i had soem success with w2s - i did it consitently for 2 weeks for all daytime naps and nealry always got good results - stopped it due to various reasons and the 45 minute monster is back!!!!!!!  I have to say it came back slowly - she would get up and grumble a bit hen go back now... she cries and doens't go back off.  She is 10 weeks old tomorrow.

Does anyone have any idea how long i should do it for - i have a large house and 2 toddlers so any time that i leave them is a worry!!!

Oh dear!  Usually W2S works after 3 days of doing it consistently, so I would do 3 more days of it to see if you can get her back to sleeping longer.  If not, you might have to try increasing A times.

With your busy schedule, I would aim to have one good nap per day.  The others I wouldn't worry about, so as long as you can focus on the W2S for one nap, you should be OK.
