Well, Cassia, Cayenne, and Clove are all spices.  Spirit vinegar is, well, just vinegar.  So my guess would be the Haricot beans.

So I would definitely bring this up with your doctor and request some testing be done.  He sounds to be pretty allergic and wouldn't want to risk anything.

Haricot beans are small dry white beans which are a staple in baked bean dishes along with soups and chilis. When people think of beans, some think of haricots, as they are rather ubiquitous. Many markets sell haricots, and they can also be grown at home, if you have enough room in your garden for beans. In addition to providing a source of food, beans are also nitrogen fixers, so they will enrich the soil that they are planted in.

There are numerous alternate names for haricot beans including Boston beans, navy beans, pearl haricots, and fagioli. The beans are roughly oval shaped and flattened, with a pure white edible skin. The flavor of haricot beans is relatively bland, although the beans are rich in protein, folate, iron, thiamin, and magnesium, so they are an excellent addition to a healthy diet.

** Also I read online that if there is a peanut allergy, that you could be allergic to beans and this was listed.

Has he had peanuts?

My DH is allergic to beans--everything closely related to kidney beans, so the haricot beans you mentioned, black beans, etc.

He is able to have chick peas and lentiles and split peas, so it's only a certain group of beans that are an issue.  His reaction is anaphalaxis (mouth/throat swell shut), but fortunately it happens slowly enough that he's able to treat it with benadryl.

Doesn't really help, but thought I'd share. :D

LOL, It is not my word, I got that from the internet.  Heck I don't even know how to say it...

Bethany:  I think it helps a lot to know when someone else has an allergy to a similiar food.  Beans are one of those foods that are not considered high allergenic, just like potato's with me.  :)

No I dont think hes had peanuts... why does that scare me?? :-\

Just got back from the docs... she wasnt overly helpful, laughed when I told her what he was allergic too.  And said there was nothing much they could do.  After me stressing my concern abit more over other foods he maybe allergic too she said she'd refer him for allergy testing but told me not to be surprised if they didnt take him on as we knew what the allergy was and child allergy testing was no fun!! Id go abit further, if you tried allergy testing with my boy it'd be more than 'not fun'!! It was hard enough getting him to the doctors!!!

Im kind of hoping they'll do it although Im sure it will be pretty traumatic so maybes its not the best idea :-\

Some docs are really not helpful.  I say to at least see the allergist and let them look at him and his situation further.  They would know better than your family doc.  Even if they didn't do testing then they might do it after a few months, at least then you would have already had contact with them.
