could this be an allergey to something?
« on: November 25, 2008, 05:03:55 am »
Noah just in the last few days got a red, small bumpy rash under his nose. It really bugs him when I wipe his face after he eats. The only thing he has had differently lately is egg, and he had some of my homemade cookie that had coconut in it. He also had a bit peanut butter for the first time last week but that would have been 3-5 days before this rash showed up. Thanks for your help, tracey

It's hard to say, but it's probably a good idea to stop the peanut butter for now. Kids can be so allergic and each time they eat it the reaction can be more severe.

Yeah, doctors are now saying to stay away from nuts until 3.  Did he have egg within a day of the rash?

I agree about the PB.  I would stay away from peanuts for a while.

Could be nothing though.  Sometimes a new food will leave a little rash around the mouth and then go away.

Is he fussy or any other symptoms?
