Waking durung DF
« on: November 25, 2008, 21:01:43 pm »
If LO wakes during the df, I'm wondering if this is helpful any longer....  With our DD (now 3), we did the DF until ~7 mos, and it was literally like feeding her in her sleep & laying her back down.  With DS, he wakes when I pick him up, is pretty mellow during the feed, but somewhat awake, and then squirms around/sometimes starting to cry when laid back down.  I'm nervous to try without a DF, as he's still waking in the night (typically eating once), but I'm also not feeling great about waking him every night for this...

Any thoughts??

Hi again i just posted on your other thread :)

Does he wake up whatever time you give the DF? Would bringing it forward help?

We did the DF till 5mth we got lots of nwings with the df and when we stopped so did the nwing's, but every lo is different. Do you think he still needs it?

Neither of my girls have had any success with the DF - both of them actually woke EARLIER on the nights that I tried it!  It worked beautifully with DS but like Kate has said, everyone is different!

I guess you just ought to try going cold turkey - if it doesn't work, go back to giving it the following night...

Good luck!
