I am in need of any and all help. My DS is having a tERRIBLE time with sleep be it napping or night time. Night is the worst for me.

I have used a great many of the strategies that I have read in Tracy's books. My DD is an angel when it comes to sleep. My son, not so much.

A bit of background. I had to go back to work when he was 2 months old. He wasn't sleeping through the night but we were in a pattern that worked. Once I went back to work he hates the bottle and holds out all day until I get home. During the day he is a mess. Needless to say that once I arrive home he eats like a mad man and then passes out. So now that it has been 2 months that I have been working he basically will take the bottle but still REALLY just wants to nurse. Which has lead to crumby nights for me. He has gotten better with the bottle but still doesn't take as much as if he nursed during the day, so I find myself wanting to make sure he gets what he needs so I nurse him.

So now the big issue is that he will not go down without being nursed to sleep and if you try to put him down he SCREAMS bloody murder. It KILLS me! How do I change the pattern??

I have tried to get him into the Sleep, eat, play mode but It doesn't work. I have reread and and reread and really have no idea how to help my boy change his ways. We have tried the patting and shushing. I know that he is so over tired that he doesn't respond to any help. Now, he wakes at night every 45- to 1.5 hours.

I DREAD the night. I am all ears for suggestions!
Thanks Christina

Oh hun, hugs to you, sounds really really tough.
I would post on the BF boards to get advice on the feeding front.
Can you post your typical day for me to look at?
