Avocado Chocolate Pudding Recipe - No Dairy, No Soy
« on: December 02, 2008, 03:58:12 am »
A friend of mine gave me this recipe, I haven't tried it for my son yet, but any of you who want to try it here it is::

1 Avocado
Cocoa Powder
Maple Syrup or Agave Nectar

Put it in a blender or food processor, and put in however much cocoa and syrup you like.  I hear in the end it's like a chocolate mousse.  Can't wait to try it!

Actually my friends happened to buy some at the grocery store, thinking it was chocolate mousse.  They were like, "Oh this is so good, I wonder what's in it."  Looked on the ingredients and that was in it.  Now they just make it themselves all the time.  I'm getting an Avocado today to give it a whirl.

Sounds good ... so am waiting to hear your responses before I give it a shot! *drooling at the thought of guilt-free choc!* Well I say guilt free, but I think it's just the avocado that makes it sound healthy!! ;D

:)  Oh.. this is great Melanie.  Thanks SO MUCH

Tyler needs the extra fats and can't have sugar, so this is perfect.

Alright, who ever tries it first, please post...  I am headed to the store tonight or tom. to buy avocodoes!

Hehe, I'm getting my groceries in a couple of hours, once my son wakes.  I'm a little apprehensive though, because I usually don't like Avocados.

Haven't tried him yet, but I want to make it for myself! lol  I haven't tried him on cocoa, syrup, or avocados.  But I want to see if it tastes good, if it does then I hope to try it with him after I introduced these foods individually.

Poor boy has never had any sweets yet!  Wouldn't touch his cake for his first birthday.  I'm curious to see what he thinks of something sweet.

I don't want to sound negative but we were told that quite a lot of people with multiple food allergies are allergic to avocados. We did actually try it with James before we were told this and his lips went puffyy and face blotchy after just sucking a piece twice. I would just take it very slowlly if trying it.
