We had another reaction :( Sniff....
« on: December 17, 2008, 02:32:48 am »
Tyler was doing SO GOOD.  There has to be some kind of connection between vienna saugaes and meatloaf seasoning packet.

He had a great day!!  Fever is gone, happy.

Tonight I made meatloaf and used a McCormick Meatloaf season packet.  He LOVED it.  Ate so good.  That was at 4:30, it is 9:30 now and he is still screaming and will not go to sleep.  DH is in his room with him now.

The ingredients that stood out to me was:  garlic, soy protein, corn protein and seasoning.
His face has little bumps all over it now :(

I am thinking it is either garlic or soy protein.

Send us,get better tummy vibes, PLEASE

:(  I thought I was doing something good.  I was proud of my homemade dinner, that I rarely cook.  I know the seasoning was from a pack, but everything else was fresh.

We never ever do packaged foods with him.  My mom gave him the vienna sausages and well I guess I learned my lesson with seasoning.

Very good point though, so I am sure that is what it is.

Could be the garlic.  If you are not use to having garlic, then ingest it it can REALLY upset you tummy.  I hate garlic, rarely eat it.  Then last week I made a dip with Epicure onion and garlic.  It was really garlicky.  It made me soooo sick to my stomach.  Bad gas in my tummy, rumbling, it hurt so bad, made me feel really sick too.

Plus, it has those suspicious "natural flavours" like the sausages.... but it wouldn't surprise me about garlic, that stuff is harsh on the tummy.

I am thinking the garlic.  It is in both things.  I CANNOT have any garlic at all.  Anytime I eat it, I get really gassy, very sick to my stomach.

I have been sick tonight also.  I know the meat was okay, so I am sure it is the seasoning.

Stacy, I know you weren't trying to offend ;)

I don't think he has really had garlic before besides the garlic in those damn vienna sausages.

Wait a minute....  he has had garlic a lot.  He LOVES prego spegetti sauce and I know that has lots of garlic in it, because I can't eat much of it.

DH's stomach is upset too :(  I really don't think the meat was bad, I just bought it, but could have been.  I really think it is the seasoning.. NEVER NEVER AGAIN...

This is why I hate cooking..

I was typing at the same time as you Stacy.  Yes he can have apple.  I would love that recipe.  I think I would take out the onion because I can't handle onions.

Yumm, I have the turkey and apple and will give it a try.  How much garlic?  I am assuming fresh garlic..

I made my meatloaf into mini meat loafs and meat load sticks tonight.

Thanks, wendy

IT was a BAD... night.  Tyler woke up at 12:00 and would not go back to sleep.  It took him until almost 10:00 to go to sleep.  He pooped this morning and it was awful.

Today he seems better, but his face looks really bad :(

I am so sorry Tyler had such a bad night. I hope his face starts to calm down soon. I would take a photo of it so you can show the allergist. It would be good to have for reference just incase his skin is nice and clear when you go to the appointment.

I would also write down the ingredients of both products and take that to the appointment also.

Thanks Kelly, I will deft. do that in the morning.

He has a very faint rash on his belly and back now also.  The bumps on his face have also spread to his ears :(

He has pooped very loose today 3 times, so hopefully it is working out of his system.

Well last night he slept all night, Thank goodness.  He has pooped twice again today, but seems like it is all out of his system.  His rash is still there and actually looks even worse because I gave him fruit and sugar together today.

So I went through all my cabinets and freezer and threw away food. :-0  I had like store bought frozen waffles, etc. I had not given him any, but I just threw them out so they are not even there if I had to have something last minute.  I am going to make a few batches and freeze them myself.

It can be a pain cooking everything from scratch but you do get used to it and there are lots of things you can make that don't take too long. I also think the key thing is to making food in batches and frezing some, this way you have lots of options when you don't have as much time.
