Why is she slapping me during feeds?

Hayden is almost 15 months old, we've been on 2 feeds a day for 3 months and my supply hasn't really changed since the drop to 2 feeds.  Anyways, during her evening feed, she spends a lot of time slapping, scratching, and pinching me or pulling on my necklace or hair.  It happens between letdown (which I can still feel) and the emptying of the breast (at which point she's totally relaxed and drowsy.  Is she just entertaining herself or is there something else going on (like low supply or something)?  It never happens during the morning feed.

From what I remember at that age, most likely she is just experimenting to see what happens.  I had to cut short the feeds when dd would bite, pull hair, etc, in order to get her to stop.  With a bit of consistency she made the connection and dropped the behavior.

DD does the exact same thing. What I hear from other BF moms is that it's very common. The difference is that my DD is 5 months

DS did this, it was his way to relax believe it or not. It was like he was about to be in bliss, relaxed state and just before he slapped/scratched by breast/chest area like I can't take it, here it comes, sort of thing.

I'm not terribly bothered by the slapping (it's outright slapping with audible sound as opposed to the cute and gentle patting), although the hair pulling and scratching can hurt.  Her demeanor is relaxed and happy (if a bit cheeky) while this is going on so I think she's just playing around, but I did wonder if it meant anything else.

That was Wendy, although I do have breasts, I have had to grow and carefully nurture them through a strict regime of beer, fried food and as little exercise as possible......

I've got a mole above my left boob and Zac often messes with it and I often wonder if he's gonna somehow scratch it off If I'd have known I was going to feed Zac for this long (he's nearly 14 months) I'd have asked for it to be removed!
