Hiya Charm  :D

Just wanted to let you know that so far so good with Jessie's new routine!!!

She is handling her extra A time really well.  (I hope I haven't just tempted fate!!!)

She is still waking in the night.  Last night I ended up sleeping with Jacob because he was frightened of the noises outside. (it was really windy and raining and the wind was whistling through the windows!) and I heard Jess about 3am, but only for 10 mins.  I didn't go in to her.  She then woke at 6.30am (I wasn't ready at all to get up as I'd had such a terrible night, (never sleeping in Jacob's bed with him again!!)), so I put her dummy in and she went to sleep until 7.30am!!

Like I said on my other post, she is eating better today, so fingers crossed!!!!!   :-X

Hi Charm,

Just a quick question!!

Jessie has been going for a nap at 2pm and sleeping until 3.30-3.45.  Great!!!

On a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon though, I have to walk Jacob over to pre school (and push Jess in her buggy) for 1.15pm and I collect him at 2.45pm.  So, if she has a shorter nap do I put her down for a nap later on?

I could go for a walk at 2pm which would be her normal time to go for a nap and hope that she drops asleep in the buggy (which she would do)before picking Jacob up, but I don't think she would have her full nap in the buggy.

Thanks!!!

1.15 till 2.45?  I think it should be ok for  2 days a week.  I think I would do quiet a time and early bedtime instead of another nap.

Hiya!!

You are fab Charm!!   ;D ;) ;D

Jess is now feeding 3 times a day and back to her normal self, in fact, she had an extra 3oz before bed!!

I slept from 9.30-5.55am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am so chuffred!!  I can't remember the last night I slept through!!  while I was heavily preg with Jess, Jacob decided to start waking at 5.....and we all know that you don't sleep well when heavily preggers!! Well, last night  I did.....and she's 6 months on Tuesday...I know I am tempting fate!! Gosh, my hubbie fell to the floor this morning while he was getting ready fr work.  His back has gone......but it's like man flu all over again!!!  Another baby to look after!!

Anyway, better go, Jessie is in bed and settled, so Jacob needs to go to bed so I can start dinner! and look after the invalid upstairs!!!!!!!!!!!!  :'(

I'm in London.  But not British.  That's great that you're emigrating to Australia!!  We have talked about it, but it seems so far away.  Basically we're cowards  ;D

I am too Charm, I want it, but I'm dreading it!!  The longer it takes to sell our house, the better!! We live opposite a fab school, which Jacob goes to pre school, and he would start in September, so (very selfishly) hope we're still here so he can go....maybe get some of his horrible tantrums out of him!!

DH still in bed...he did venture downstairs, but far too uncomfortable, so he went back to bed.....bottle of wine opened for me!!  Chuffed!!

Oh Charm :'( :'(

I thought I'd done it!!  We've been doing the new routine since Thurs/Fri and she seems to be doing well on it.  She was partying at 3am for just over an hour, then at 4.30 for about 20 mins and then 5.30 and then at 6!!  I have been going in to her to put her dummy in, sometimes it worked, sometimes not!

Our days have more or less been the same.

7 bottle
8 breakfast
9.30 nap for 1 1/2-2 hours
11.30 bottle
12.30 solids
2.00 nap for 1 1/2-2 hours
4.00 bottle
5.00 solids
6.00 bath
6.45-7.00 bed

I've noticed that if she sleeps 1 1/2 hours in the morning, she will do 2 hours in the afternoon (sometimes I have to wake her) and visa versa.

Any suggestions??? ;)

That's a good observation.  So if she's doing that on a regular basis, maybe she is showing you that on her current a times, she needs 3.5hrs of naps a day.  Do you think you can increase her a times a wee bit?

Do you think she does better with shorter 1st a time?  If yes, increase the 2nd a time by 15mins.
