Your story sounds so familiar! We've been in the exact same place - unhelpful health pros, symptoms that they say you just need to live with, apply this cream etc.
Give up dairy now. Make sure you check for traces in everything (you're going to be on a really restricted diet - I lost a stone! ;o)) Get yourself down to a health food shop for some supplements (I took a calcium, magnesium & zinc combo) and get into Rice Dream with added calcium.
When you want to stop breast feeding, pester for a prescription for Neocate formula.
